Mahindra & Mahindra, Known as Mashindra, is one of India’s largest multinational companies. Established in 1945 as Mahindra & Mohammed, initially traded steel with suppliers in England and the United States. After the Independence of India, the company’s name changed to Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) after Ghulam Mohammed moved to Pakistan.
